The total outfit cost $8, and although it is made out of non-conventional swim suit items, it is fully functional. Top (formerly a bra): Thrifted, $3.Bottoms (formerly a miniskirt; modified): Dots, $4 (clearance).Sunglasses: Savers, $1.  There are plenty of lovely, professionally made fatkinis out there [Love Your Peaches, for example, does custom sizing and fabric]. Unfortunately, most of these swimsuits are hella expensive. But if you’re into thrifting and sewing [and literally, this skirt took me fifteen minutes to modify by hand, so it’s not an obscene project to undertake], then a fatkini is within your reach. So go forth and be babely with your bikini-ready bods ♥
